Full Bio (555 words)

From the time Maddie was 5, she enjoyed singing.  Her parents enrolled her in vocal lessons a few years later and she worked on popular and classical songs for the 4 years she had lessons.  Both her grandfather and uncle have bands and have helped her nurture her love for music.  Her grandfather showed her 4 chords on a ukulele and then sent it home with her.  He was blown away when her mother posted a video the next day of her performing Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours.”  He promptly sent one of his guitars home with her and her grandmother paid for the first few months of guitar lessons with regional phenom Michael Morrison.  After the first year of lessons, her uncle gave me some pointers as she then began appearing in open mics in the local area performing songs she had written

Maddie was very shy and uncomfortable in crowds, avoiding them whenever possible.  After stepping on stage at the 4th grade talent show, she fell in love with performing.  Of course the crowd reaction and winning the show helped.  After winning 5th & 6th grade shows, she placed in some area talent shows before winning Hanover Has Talent in January of 2020, at the age of 14 competing with all ages.
